This listing is for a pair of huge blue/grey silk pinch pleat second-hand curtains with interlining. These extraordinary curtains are in good overall state and ready for a new life, albeit maybe after alteration. Please see the notes about the condition below.

The curtains are from a large collection we recently received from a large country house in the Home Counties. The house was previously owned by one of the founder members of AC/DC and is now undergoing a major renovation. These curtains were used as stair curtains between the ground and first floor.

You may well be wondering why we used the valance as the cover picture! Well the problem was in finding somewhere with the right light to photograph them properly as they are humongous so we used the valance instead. The other pictures are to show you the issues etc.

Our ratings for these stunning silk second-hand curtains are as follows: –

The blue/grey silk fabric of the curtains is in good clean condition with no noticeable marks or stains visible to the naked eye – Rating 9/10

The leading edges of the curtains do have issues with fading and fraying. We have measured the width of these issues and consider that you will need to ‘chop off’ 30 cms of each leading edge to eradicate the fading etc and create a new clean edge – Rating 7/10

The ticking linings of the curtains are in good overall condition but with fading down the top half of the curtains only as the curtains were far longer than the actual window! – Rating 8.75/10

This huge pair of curtains will fit a track/pole to a BEST WIDTH of 114 ins or 293 cms with a drop of 210 ins or 534 cms. The maximum width is 120 ins or 308 cms.

If you removed the fading/fraying on the leading edges you would then have a maximum usable width of just under 98 ins or 250 cms
