This listing is for seven pairs of fabulous cream silk diamond pattern with pearls second-hand curtains. These lovely curtains come with pencil pleats and interlining and are in good clean condition.

The curtains have come to us from an equally lovely large country house in the far south-west of Cornwall. Originally there were 10 pairs were all the same width but, as is often the case with silk curtains, quite a few of them became frayed along the leading edges. The owners decided quite rightly to repair the damaged curtains by having the fraying removed and the leading edges re-hemmed. This has resulted in there being two widths of curtains. The ones with no or very little damage are all approximately 76 ins or 193 cms wide whereas the re-hemmed curtains average about 70 ins or 177 cms. All the curtains have a drop of 106 ins or 270 cms.

Thus far we have managed to match up 7 pairs of curtains all in pretty good condition. There might be a little bit of fraying but nothing to worry about frankly. All seven pairs also come with a draped valance which went over the top of the curtains as is seen in one of the pictures in the gallery.

Our ratings for these great looking silk curtains are as follows: –

The front fabric of the curtains are all in very good clean condition with no marks or stains and the fabric is looking fabulous.  One or two of the curtains have slight fraying but none of those curtains have enough damage to warrant removing fabric. There is no fading on the leading edges at all – Rating 8.5/10

The  linings and the interlining are all in very good condition with no marks, stains or fading evident – Rating 9/10
