This listing is for a pair of velvet brocade vintage second-hand ‘country house’ curtains with Pencil Pleats and Interlining. There is also a pelmet which is 168 cms wide.

We call these amazing curtains ‘country house’ or ‘shabby chic’ because they have seen considerable wear in the last 30 years. Their condition is as you might expect but we love them and we know so will someone else once they have been hung! Please though read the condition report below.

These curtains will fit a track/pole to an BEST WIDTH of 154 ins or 391 cms with a drop of 110 ins or 280 cms. The maximum width is 160 ins or 406 cms.

Please forgive us for saying so but you are considering buying ‘second-hand curtains’. This means there may be some small marks or smudges on them which have come with the passage of time. Major marks or stains or fading we will picture and tell you about. It should be noted the only time you will see any of these ‘small’ marks or smudges is when you open the box with the curtains. Once hung these will disappear and never be noticed by anybody again!

Our ratings for these really lovely vintage curtains are as follows: –

The velvet brocade fabric of the curtains is really lovely and soft and in good overall vintage condition with no obvious marks or stains on the fabric. There are one or two marks but only if you look too closely – Rating 8.25/10

The leading edges of the curtains are showing some signs of fading but it is not really noticeable because of the look of the fabric – Rating 8/10

The linings of the curtains are definitely tired and past their best (as I would be after hanging around for 30+ years) there are a few marks and signs of fading but no major stains or water marks – Rating 6.75/10

The postage cost for these curtains is based on delivery in the UK and is calculated on their weight and includes Insurance and will be added during the checkout procedure. Postage costs are combined if more than one pair of curtains are being purchased at the same time.

Any curtains bought from us that do not quite work when you receive them, because of colour, size, etc, can be returned to us within 30 days of receipt for a full refund of the cost of the curtains. Just let us know within 14 days of receipt and please send the curtains back in the same environmentally-friendly box.
