This listing is for a pair of vintage curtains made with french fabric on a peacock blue background. The curtain fabric is decorated with gold pillars and a multi floral print and there is a fixed 6 inch pencil pleat header so would be very hard to ungather. The curtains originally hung in the drawing room of a Grade 2 Wiliam & Mary country house in Warwickshire in the 50’s and 60’s.

These vintage curtains are in good overall condition but with issues which we detail below on the Condition Tab

These vintage curtains will fit a track/pole to a best width of 52 ins or 133 cms with a drop of 108 ins or 275 cms. The maximum width is 58 ins or 148 cms.

Our ratings for these vintage curtains are as follows: –

The fabric of the curtains are in good overall condition although there are a some marks on the fabric face due to age and one curtain has damage along the outside edge which we have pictured – Rating 7/10

The leading edges of the curtains with the gold fabric are showing signs of fading along their length – Rating 7.5/10

The linings of the curtains are in quite tired condition with quite a bit of sun damage and fading and there are some rips as well due to their age – Rating 6.95/10

Overall these curtains look to have been through the wars a bit, so to speak, but hanging they look fantastic and will repay some attention to make them look even better.
